It Never Fails
Being a Browns fan has never been easy. While our history in the 50s and 60s included great football and championships, we have been in agony ever since, and who was even alive for that shit anyways?? The 80’s gave us “The Fumble” and “The Drive”, the 90s we watched Art Modell pack up and move our team to Baltimore, and since our return in 99’ we have been one of the worst franchises in all of sports. 36 starting quarterbacks, an 0-16 season, turmoil in our front office and coaching, and the list goes on. So what could happen now?
"Deshaun Watson underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) Monday on two injuries sustained on different plays in the first half of Sunday's 33-31 win over the Baltimore Ravens. Imaging on his left ankle revealed a high-ankle sprain. In addition, postgame, Deshaun notified our medical staff of a new discomfort in his right shoulder that he felt after a hit in the first half. An MRI of his right shoulder revealed a displaced fracture to the glenoid. Despite performing at a high level and finishing the game, after consultation with Browns' Head Physician, James Voos, MD, and industry-leading shoulder specialist, Neal El-Attrache, MD, it has been determined that this injury will require immediate surgical repair to avoid further structural damage. Deshaun will be placed on season-ending injured reserve and a full recovery is expected for the start of the 2024 season."
Well that fucking sucks. Somehow it’s even worse when you hear about it mid week. We all knew when we watched that brutal hit on Nick Chubb, that his season was done. To wake up on a Wednesday morning, still celebrating a huge division win from Sunday, where our $230 Million dollar QB finished the game 14/14 in come back fashion, and to see this news is just crippling as a fan. The Browns have yearned for a Quarterback since we returned, you’re talking 25 years of mediocrity at the sports most important position. Watson has finally looked the part in recent weeks and our defense is the best in all of football. One would think, It’s our time, let’s win now!!

Please just call Tom Brady and offer him 70 virgins and ownership of the team. Phillip Rivers just had his 47th kid and probably needs to get out of the house for a few months, is Nick Foles up for another Super Bowl?…. There has to be better options out there than what we have. I’d rather see what DTR is made of, but running that experiment as we are 6-3 in the most competitive division in football is not wise. We know what PJ Walker is, just please don’t waste this defense AB!
